This week I want to talk to you about becoming EPIC. And the P in the EPIC stands for planning.
I have never met anybody yet who hasn’t said that they need a good plan. If you’re looking to build something, you need a plan. You wouldn’t build a house without a plan.
What makes you think you’re going to build a great business without a five-year comprehensive business plan?
So, let me tell you the ways you can do a business plan. The first way is to do it yourself. Let me give you the advantages. The advantage is it is inexpensive.
The disadvantage is – you may not know what you’re doing, and it’s going to take a while.
It’s going to take you 3 to 6 solid months to do it right, while you’re out there running your business or trying to get your business started.
On the other end of the extreme, you can get it done for you. And so, you can hire someone to write your business plan for you.
What is the positive of that? The positive is you don’t have to do it.
What’s the negative? The negative is it’s not your plan and it’s going to be expensive.
A good business plan written by somebody else is likely going to be in the 30 to $50,000 range.
