I’ve been thinking about “leverage” a lot lately. If you are in business, you should be thinking about it too. One of Brad’s definitions of “leverage” is “divide to multiply”. What does that mean anyway?
In business, there are 4 areas we can leverage: Finance, Systems, People, and Marketing. In finance, we can shorten our terms and get paid faster.
Better systems give us better productivity. A person on your team that can do something better and faster frees you up to run the business.
Marketing, if done correctly, is the best investment on the planet. You just have to divide to multiply.
Let’s say your goal is more customers. Start by dividing “customers” in smaller increments. You either need more leads, or a better conversion rate from your existing leads to get more customers.
You can further break down “leads” and “conversion rate” into individual strategies like referrals to get more leads or scripting to get a better conversion rate.
What if you hired a person whose only job was to get more referrals? You divided “getting leads” into a single task of getting referrals.
And getting more referrals will multiply your number of customers. Divide to Multiply.
What’s your first area to “Divide to Multiply”?
All the best!
