“Accountability”- The ability to account.
Account To Whom? When I ask business owners in workshops this question the top answers I get are I’m accountable to my: Self, Employees, Customers, Family, Partners, etc.
In talking with a group of successful business owners last week, they all agreed that most of the time, “they know what they need to do”, but that they often don’t actually take action right away.
They went on to say that what makes the difference for them; is that they have built-in outside accountability into their decision-making process. Accountability works in athletics and it works in business.
Nick Saban (The legendary University of Alabama football coach who knows a thing or two about coaching champions) said, “If you’re an average player, you want to be left alone because you want to be able to slide by. If you are a good player, you want to be coached. If you are a great player, you want the coach to tell you the truth every day.”
Do you want to be great?
Add some accountability into your life.
All the best!
